Don passed away with serenity and peace. His loving and devoted wife, Eddie (Edna) was with him at that moment of transition. He will be deeply missed by Eddie, his daughter Shelley, son Joel and grandchildren Jayden, Erik and Teagan. Don will be remembered fondly by his cousins: Robert Lee and Angela from ON, Donna, Wendy, Pat, Barb and Gerald from the Edmonton area as well as other relatives from Ontario and Alberta. Don was born in Orillia, Ontario. During his childhood and teen years, Don lived in Alberta, Yukon and BC. His first major career took him to Saskatchewan where he proudly served as an RCMP officer for 6 years. After leaving the force and settling on Vancouver Island, Don used is incredible talents, knowledge and skills in many fields including construction, fishing, business management, sales, counseling, and community politics. In the early 90's after moving to the Comox Valley, Don passionately devoted the rest of his life to researching and developing technology for alternative and complimentary health care. He was a scientist at heart and his work has made a difference for people on every continent in the world. He was respected as one who demonstrated exceptional responsibility and integrity. A world without you, Don, will not be the same. Your brilliant mind and soaring vision will be missed. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 23/09 at 2:00 PM at the Courtenay Civic Cemetery - 4768 North Island Highway. Refreshments will later be served at Resonant Light Technology Inc - 4875 North Island Highway. A celebration of Don's life will be held on Sunday, January 25/09 at 2:00 PM at the Best Western - 1590 Cliffe Ave., Courtenay, BC.
